Odd bug with 'solve'

I've just doubled checked on the Nspire and the symbol is indeed treated differently than the lower case letter.



This 'bug' probably originates in XCAS starting out life as a desktop product where it's not so easy to differentiate between an italicised lower case letter and the symbol for the imaginary number i.

The Nspire provides the better workflow in this instance, especially considering that the Nspire is primarily used by pre-university students.
