... I was able to readjust the -15V line and now enjoy a fully working MK-52.

I guess the seller, who went through this with me, used a power adaptor that brought that voltage line over die edge, but my Eneloops failed.

When open, I noticed he actually replaced some capacitors. Quite cool.
