HP Slide-Rule from 1971
Please see attached 2 pictures of a Hewlett Packard slide rule from 1971.
It has a HP product/part code of 5952-2516 but it is in fact made by the Perrygraf division Nashua Corp. It works our Vector Impedance on one side and on the other side gives reactances of Capacitors and Inductors against frequency. I obtained this SlideRule when I worked for HP New Zealand many moons ago and I carried on using it quite often to do fast workouts of Capactive Reactance for many years. It was faster than use a calc. I have a suspicion this slide rule may have been supplied with one of the Instruments of the time. So, is this piece of cardboard considered to be a HP calculator , or not ?? Regards: Des Spillane |
