Yes, certainly. For me it is a really good calculator with good keys and a decent LCD screen. For normal calculations at least and the occasional little program, if you have to perform a calculation more than once, and no computer or tablet running Excel is on hand. That's probably not the calculator I would use to calculate the burns required for a Mars-orbit-rendezvous, but then I wouldn't use _any_ pocket calculator for that... I would go so far and say that the HP-35S is my second favorite LCD calculator from HP after the HP-71B.
