You can see the firmware version of an HP 39gII by pressing ON and holding it down, then pressing the F4 key and then releasing both keys. The version is displayed at the top of the screen.
EDIT -- The 8 key exits the diagnostics screen. I have two 39gII's. Their firmware versions are listed here so you can compare them with yours: Ver: 27/Aug/2011 ... 21MHz Ver: 19/Jan/2012 ... 80MHz <0|ΙΈ|0> -Joe- |
