So then for me it would be the books of the "Numerical Recipes" series. I have used them a lot back when I earned my living writing programs for engineering purposes. There are versions for FORTRAN, c, Python and maybe even BASIC, some of which can be found as free (but legal?) downloads on the internet. The algortitms are well explained and documented and can easily be adopted to other programming environments. Regards Max |
