The delay does not avoid spoiling the game ... only delay it.
Whoever post solution first, already spoil the game ... but someone has to do it!

But for that there are the sibling threads, it is perfectly fine (and I'd say even more ordered). Opening a new thread costs like, dunno, 5 minutes? After all the effort that Valentin (or whoever would do the same, but so far mostly Valentin does it) puts in the posts, I find opening a sibling thread very easy in comparison.
