Some statistics in seconds for run-time on input of 6-digit integers to a version of peruna's programme optimized for a maximum of 6 digits for 1,000 random inputs:

Total 255.9
Mean 0.25
SDev 0.51
Max 4.1
Min 0.06

& the same figures for 2old2randr's programme, again slightly optimised:

Total 1,112.9
Mean 1.1
SDev 0.13
Max 2
Min 0.46
