Adhesive/tabbed overlays - C47 & WP43 (DM42), WP3xS, DB48X, newRPL variants!

If I had a DM42 I would certainly make one. It's on my wish list for certain. I already have a mockup file for the C47 conversion created and ready to cut. However, I think this one wouldn't need adhesive, since that calc has the notches in the body to accept a "snap-in" overlay. I wonder if I could print it on card stock, and then apply the protection layer of laminating sheet? Not sure how thick the overlay can be for that calc...

I looked at the WP43, too, but I wasn't sure whether the C47 would supersede it or live in parallel to the WP43 (now that SM has stated that they wouldn't not be manufacturing the WP43). The WP43 would be trickier since the overlay needs to surround the screen too. The C47 would only require the overlay and no key labels at all.

And WP43 obviously. DM42‘s and then DM 32‘s should be optimal conversion candidates down the road…
