Yes, I've noticed the same: when pressing some key which performs a fast functionality which leaves the display unchanged, it seems like nothing happened at all though the function was indeed performed. I also find this somewhat unsettling and wish some kind of feedback would happen on those cases. Also, quite related, I posted this at the end of one of my recent HP-15C CE threads:
