Reshaping plastic parts
I have an HP67 on the bench and one issue is that the battery door is warped presumably from an overheated battery pack. It still closes "OK" but the battery pack is a bit loose.
Found a printed door from the UK but shipping is 3x the cost of the door! Wondering if it's possible to reshape the warped one somehow. Found a site that uses hot water to do this (ABS) but skeptical and don't want to make things worse. https://thefrugalprofessor.wordpress.com...tic-parts/ Has anyone tried this or have other suggestions? Would prefer a replacement at a reasonable cost. Thanks! Mark |
