Here in the UK, it seems that algebraic "won" simply because almost no-one learns about RPN. So whether RPN is better, easier etc isn't relevant.
Casio have a monopoly in schools; that's perpetuated by the schools, telling the students which calculator to buy, or even selling it to them. You don't want your child to be the only one in the class with a different model, let alone a different type.
