In my view, HP alone is to blame because of their pricing policy. When I was at school, there were some parents both of which were medical doctors and who could easily afford to buy their single child an HP-67. But there were a lot more single moms with three children who struggled to buy their children Ti-30s. And because most schools had an equal opportunity policy they settled for the cheapest calculator standard that would still be useful in class. HP lost the battle for the education market right from the beginning and with it RPN was lost for the masses...
