Unfortunately, no.
When I switched back to HTML-CSS the square appeared again.

I'm using Chrome Version 120.0.6099.129 (Official Build) (arm64).
On an Apple M2 Pro using macOS Ventura 13.3.

But I think we can just leave it as is.
There's a workaround.
