Hi,

there should be no need to glue something to something else.
In my experience, using a tube that's tight enough is sufficient for transferring the axis torque to the worm gear.
If that connection slips, there might be a problem elsewhere, like too much pressure between the pinch roller and the nylon wheel.
   
This pic shows the total length of the construction, in centimeters.
   
Don't make the tube any longer than shown,
since the motor axis needs some space for movement along the axis,
and the tip of the worm gear should not press against the ball bearing too hard.
