Right: my printer, Left: photo taken from the net



There is nothing at the home position to detect the print head..

The encoder on the left hand side of the print/motor unit must be working as the printer works fine when printing right justified items. This wheel is supposed to give information to the printer about where the head is.

I am lost !

I opened the printer to take the photo above, and when the printer is open, printing works...when I close it again it doesn't...

Something new. to investigate !!!
