And it's been confirmed today, the similar fx-CG50 is also being replaced but for back to school 2025, with the fx-CG100 :

RIP Casio Basic. I won't have a ton of use for this fx-CG100, I'm afraid. Python is nice, but it can't compete with the feature-integration of traditional Casio Basic.
