As an update to this post, my daughter is currently in high school (3rd year secondary here, 14yo) and is happily using the Casio 4200p on her math and physics classes.

And her smaller brother (10yo) has already learnt how to operate an RPN calculator. This afternoon he made his first program in the HP34C to calculate length and area of a circle. He’s already asking which calculator I’m planning to lend him once he needs one!
