Except that phone hasn't been produced for nearly a decade now! It's a miracle the batteries for it were produced as long as they were. All you can get now are cheap knock-offs with so-called high capacity. I wouldn't trust any of those.

Absolutely! You really have to baby newer phones in that regard. Having said that, I do have an old Samsung S7 Edge from 2016 in which the battery is still in very good condition. While I no longer actually use the phone, I do check the battery every few weeks and charge it occasionally to make sure it stays between 20% and 80%.
