I don't mean to hijack the topic, but I've always wondered: Is there a particular reason why RAM cards are still being made / in demand instead of FRAM cards? The latter seem superior to me without the battery requirement.

FRAM cards were available from an eBay seller for some time, but (unfortunately) I missed my chance to buy one.
