But.. but.. I already have two 15CEs (one of which repurposed as a 16C), and a DM15L. I can't possibly justify another DM15L. Really. Honestly. Absolutely not. (I will have to keep repeating this to myself)

ah hang on it's a firmware update! Have Cable, Will Upgrade!

Yes, the new f/w will indeed run on existing DM15L devices (not yet sure about DM15 units, due to LCD differences). A few more surprises are also coming in this update, but I gotta keep some stuff quiet until release...
