You can often do better than that on eBay. I got 3 of these for testing purposes and paid between $17-$21 (including tax and shipping). There's apparently another marketplace for calculators called "TAS" that is mentioned occasionally in these forums, but I don't know anything about it. There are 2 versions of the old Nspire: * the original blue/white version sometimes called the "TI-Nspire Clickpad" * an updated black/white version sometimes called the "TI-Nspire Touchpad" I recommend the second version, the black/white "Touchpad". The secret is to know that the Touchpad version is dual-powered: it can use either a rechargeable Li-Poly, OR a set of 4xAAA under the keyboard. Some sellers will list the calculator as "For Parts or Repair" because the calculator will work only when plugged into the USB cable. They don't realize that the calculator will work just fine using 4xAAA. One more thing: The Nspire OS can only be upgraded using the *original* keypad, not the TI-84+ keypad, so you will want one of those as well. The TI-84+ emulator OS is embedded into the Nspire OS, it cannot be upgraded separately. This is another reason to prefer the "Touchpad" version, because the original "Clickpad" is probably the worst calculator keypad that I have ever encountered: |
