As you well know your program is correct. I made a mistake.

I forgot my own statement about 1-based vs 0-based numbers. So the first 63 should be 62 and the 62 should be 61.

The tap table I used uses 1-based numbers so bit 63 is bit 62 in a 0-based scheme. The same with the 62. The second 63 is a mask (number of bits) so that is ok.

For a 31-bit LFSR change the numbers to 30 and 27.
