The ST scale is for SIN & ASIN, and TAN & ATAN, of angles less than about 5.7°, since at small angles they're nearly the same.  You could crank in a small correction factor if you want, for down to a degree or two, and below that, there's no point.  I do however have another slide rule that has separate scales for these from about 5.7° down to about 0.57°, and then they're combined below that.

Sorry Garth, the "ST" I was questioning is the type of plastic slide insert, which Kim discovered (it's right in the manual dang-it), not the slide rule scale, but thanks for trying to help.
