Casio throwback calculator watches

At Walmart today, I see they have a 16 button Casio calc watch for ~$22.
Last night, I replaced the battery in my old "Timex" calc watch (CR2016), the LCD then showed
ALarm mode, but none, not even the side buttons worked. An interesting thing was the battery hold down strap said Casio.
Well, the Walmart calc watch was the same body, button layout as the "Timex" one.
So, I'm just guessing that Timex rebadged the Casio unit back in the day.
