That's why I'd like to have the contents well preserved and if it's used a lot a plain cover will get smudged in no time. You can of course argue that if it's used very frequently it will gain it's own smooth silky handworn texture. We actually have a word for that in German but it can't be translated properly ;-)

Just to make it sure: I'm in for one with or without laminated cover.

FYI, there are cheap adhesive transparent foils available you can apply on any book you expect to be heavily used
