I'm not in a position to do anything for the HP Prime, but I made an attempt with Khicas on the TI Nspire, so that people buying a non-CAS nspire can run a CAS in their calculator. The vast majority of people who will buy (or enforce the buying of) calculators these days are people who do not want you to be able to install Khicas. Using Khicas could be considered cheating if someone expected you to have a non-CAS NSpire, so TI wants you to not exist. Sure, it's your freedom to modify the device. But no matter how much you try to exercise this freedom, calculators will only become less free in the future. |
