RE: Astronomy: Effemeridi (Ephemeris)
hi,
in this new version I added a function dedicated to the Earth (ellipsoid). Earth(datelist); With it the user can input a latitude (or use that already saved with the program) -and (or not) heigh above the sea level- and calculate some geodetic parameters: geocentric latitude, flattening, equatorial and meridian radius, eccentricity of the meridian, rho•sin(phi) and rho•cos(phi), difference between geographic and geocentric latitude, radius of parallel of latitude, rotational angular velocity, radius of curvature of the meridian... Giving lon/lat for two points the program returns the angular and linear distance (with an error or ±50 meters!). Then the program output actual heliocentric longitude and latitude for the Earth. Examples: • to input φ, h (height above sea level): ρ, ρ·sin(φ'), ρ·sin(φ') :: useful data to get diurnal parallax, eclipses, occultations) • to input φ: Rp, Rm, λ°, φ° (radius of parallel of latitude, radius of curvature, degree of longitude or latitude length • to input φ1, φ2: s, d (distance from two points given their coordinates: both linear and angular) Enjoy!
