What to do without Windows 7 or above?

Have you tried to just use an older Connectivity Kit for updating your HP-Prime?
The last version still working in WinXP was v6975 (Dec.2014), which can be downloaded here:

Unless HP has changed the file format of the Prime OS updates, I don't see any reason why this older Connectivity Kit shouldn't work with the current OS update.
