To check byte counts I've been running PACK, then CAT 1 with output to printer. A printout with bytes per line would help for optimizing.

Thanks for the tip. It works on my HP-41C with infrared module in TRACE mode. BTW, I discovered my program is 78 bytes long, not the 62 I get on the 42S. Too good I don't have to rely on this for a living
