I'm trying to get it to return the real-valued answer. I've edited the original post to better clarify my question. Complex numbers are not involved in the calculations for the problem sets that I am working. The option to use complex numbers is likewise disabled. Why then, is the calculator returning a complex answer involving i? I've also tried this with the option for 'Principal' disabled, the results are identical. (Though, I don't know if that is related to what I am seeing here or not) |
