The problem here is that the driver could never be signed because there was something in the HW that caused it to fail the verification process on some obscure part of the MS testing process. In order to fix it, the hardware would need to change some components to be compliant and get the signature. This never was a problem in the real world, and not being signed wasn't an issue either until signing as a requirement became forced, but by then the 50g was considered a legacy product and then shortly later discontinued due to the internal chips disappearing completely.
Since everyone was always just using the SD card primarily anyway, it never was much of a problem. I think the only think you *can't* do with the SD card is take a direct screenshot. TW Although I work for HP, the views and opinions I post here are my own. |
