Thanks so much for the helpful video! It explains everything. I do not yet have the deoxit red so will wait until tomorrow to open it and effect the repair once I get the contact cleaner (hopefully available at fine hardware stores in the Ottawa area...).

I will report back with results of my repair efforts forthwith.
