FORTRAN floating point accuracy problems

The hardware implementation I'm using is not binary but I see where you are coming from and thanks for the effort. We have tried a few things and so far have been hampered by a few missing functions. We have got that mostly resolved. I just haven't had time to test again with the old versions of code that should work now.
