RE: BP 67/97
[your post]
Hi, Sometimes I see this : " (BP 67/97)". I wonder what it means. Surely a book for good programing ? But how to get this book ? May be it is " Basic Programming" ? I have searched every where but I dont' find. Is someone know and give me help ? Gérard. [my reply- note i am a HP50G user so i can't help with HP67/97 questions] Hey Gerard i found an old cached (stored) web link here http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/se...=1&vwsrc=0 which mentions BPs (breakpoints) under the heading Advanced Techniques for RPN-67 & RPN-97 it isn't a short post so i wont cut & paste the article. [here is a little bit of the post] Advanced Techniques for RPN-67 and RPN-97 Breakpoints On the original calculators, forcing program execution to stop at a certain step – often referred to as "setting a breakpoint" – required inserting an R/S instruction at that step. This was cumbersome, as it not only changed the step numbers in the program, but you also had to remember the locations of the breakpoints in order to remove them later. RPN-97 solves this by attaching breakpoint information to steps without modifying the user's program in any way. Up to 10 breakpoints may be simultaneously defined. Optionally, a counter may be specified for each breakpoint, causing it to fire only when the breakpoint step has been encountered a certain number of times (up to 999). regards Paul |
