What did you expect? The firmware is highly complex, written from scratch as of the 39gII, and sold along with the Prime in a market where such things are less important. Add to that our experiences with HP calculators since the 33S in terms of bugs (many) and their fixes (few).

No, it is neither designed to be 'totally trusted' nor can the buyer expect any other.
