Hello,
USB-HID scanning is done once every 2s, so this is most likely not the CPU hog. As Tim pointed out, on windows, the notification method does not always work well. Which is why we had to twitch to pooling. For the QT file system threads, as Tim pointed, out, the method does not work on networked drives (and teachers often have network mounted drivers from servers)... However, we are aware of the issue and will attempt to fix it. I hate wasting CPU cycles! Cyrille Although I work for the HP calculator group, the views and opinions I post here are my own.
