I successfully installed both Virtual Calc and ConnKit r10637 on Windows 10, but it took several minutes. After the initial screen, the progress bar shows 0% for 1-2 min, and only then it starts showing the installation progress. In my system Visual C++ 2013 redistributable was installed first.
