Over the years we've all seen how reckless some programmers are with "shared resources" like the stack, flags, and so on. I'm always afraid that some library routine will activate during a power-down or power-up and clear my stack. So I prefer to safely tuck things into variables than to risk their lives by leaving them floating on the stack. Just a personal preference. EDIT: David makes a good point about warmstarts too. They always clear the stack. <0|ΙΈ|0> -Joe- |
