I used my 48SX to compute the optimal speed from the final thermal (upwind) when taking the last leg home. This was as you may imagine in the early '90-ies when flying the club gliders did not all have a flight computer.
This approach also made it possible to have several types of gliders preprogrammed into the HP. I must admit that the program, when using user-rpl, was slow... But it worked. The 15C/LE would have been nice those days. Regards, Matti Sweden |
