What slide rule says is also useful. I remember when I had the first semester in calculus, I understood the integral and that's it. Anyway I just used the results given to say "the integral of this function, is this other function".
Then once I was walking and I "saw" how the integral of a certain class of functions was a certain class of other functions, it clicked. So sometimes we cannot get a certain understanding and we have to find a workaround, with memory for example. Wikis are great, Contribute :) |
