The manual for the Casio says that it cannot factor a value if "two or more of the prime factors of the value have more than three digits". The display will indicate when factoring is incomplete: "The part that cannot be factored will be enclosed in parentheses on the display."
Try factoring 1009^2. According to the manual, it should fail to factor. <0|ΙΈ|0> -Joe- |
