I have done it in the past, just don't remember right now, I am currently transmitting bytes but the result are not conclusive.

Yes it does, but Monte suggestion removes the USB-to-Serial dongle from the equation.

Did you buy the 41CL serial cable from Monte or did you made one by yourself ?

What's frustrating for me, is that I could probably resolved the issue in less than 5 minutes if I were right beside you.
