RE: Euler Identity in Home
Hello friends,
interesting discussion. But what is the point? I told my pupils calcs can never calculate exact (okay there are a lot of exceptions) floating point values. If a manufacturer of such a machine decided a very small number like 3.45..E-10 is zero (or 0.99999999992 is one), than this is a decision out of non-numerical reasons and let the user forget, that he has an approximativ results producing machine in his hand. I think this non-replacing with "integer" numbers on newer calcs is for a reflecting user no problem, because he knows the "real" (sic!) result. Greetings peacecalc |
