The arithmetic average has the built in command mean()

It was not completely clear, (to me), if you were looking for an algorithm to solve a problem involving the least squares method, or were looking for information on how the least squares method works, or wanted to understand better the theory behind the least squares method, or how to program the least squares method using the hp prime. Sometimes this turns out to be a native language translation, that I have misunderstood, so I just let the topic evolve.
