If you remove all unnecessary services from the device and configure it exclusively for certain needs, then the problems you described should disappear. My calcophone was never connected to the Internet, the emulators are cleaned of ads and other redundant features. As for updates for the entire system, they are not needed for calcophone, and I update individual applications only at my own discretion.
The rapid development and improvement of mobile devices to some extent encourages the introduction of calculators to new users. Handling emulators on a modern portable gadget in some cases is more comfortable than carrying a real calculator.
