I've got one of each that have both exhibited spontaneous resets (not running any weird assembly programs or anything). I've got another 92+ that I purchased more recently, and which seems okay so far - hopefully it stays that way. My wife gave me a nice clean original TI-92 as a gift and it worked fine at first. After a few days it would not turn on anymore. I changed the batteries and it worked for a day and then wouldn't turn on. I disassembled it and found that one of the pads on the main circuit board had corroded through where the four battery terminal contacts pressed against it (see pictures). I bent the contacts slightly so they would press against the good areas of the pad. It worked reliably after that. [attachment=9610] |
