I'm a little concerned by power being delivered by banana plugs. Usually power is delivered by connectors with female contacts, so they can't be shorted by a rogue screwdriver.

Another observation, many 6V adapters come with a 2.1x5.5mm barrel connector. For example:

Suggestion: Replace the banana jacks with a barrel jack, similar to this one.
