Apparently, they are spending major development efforts on their on-line learning platform classpad.net. Many Japanese companies pursue "recurring revenue" model, and classpad.net is Casio's attempt in this direction. It does not look like they plan another physical CAS calculator.

I'm puzzled to see that Casio does not abandon electronic dictionary business despite its small market size and low margin. A new CAS calculator could bring a better ROI for their R&D money.

That's great news, I'd love to see a more capable CAS calculator. The 991EX Classwiz is by far the best scientific model on the market right now.
