Again, that's some amazing work. You repaired some machines with incredible amounts of corrosion! I guess I've been lucky to never some across units like that.
I like that you use coax insulator tubing on the HP card reader worm gear coupling. I've been using RTV sealant for that inside the metal sleeve. Your method seems a quicker and more elegant solution. Kudos! And I like that you're getting your son involved. So many kids today don't appreciate the work that goes into keeping our technology running. I taught my daughter to solder at an early age and she learned to program on my HP-65 hunting wumpus!
